Stan is the story of an Eminem fan whose love and hate for the rapper drives him to commit a murder-suicide. It only takes one listen to this song and its account of an Eminem stalker to be horrified beyond belief. This song by the Houston trio may have your mind playing tricks, too. Then Bushwick Bill, who could be a Halloween character himself, teams up with Scarface and Willie D to fight off a 7-foot-tall monster. He talks about seeing a man with a black suit and hat just like his but it turns out he was staring at his own reflection. In this dark hip-hop cut paranoia seems to set in as Scarface stands alone in his four-corner room, staring at candles, seeing pictures flash in front of his eyes. To make things even scarier, Big L was murdered in 1999. This nightmare of a song is from Big L’s 1993 demo tape, and definitely not for the faint of heart. Backed by loud, heavy horns and pounding drums, Big L rhymes about running into a church strapped with a gun. In this horrific hip-hop song, Big L has a nightmare in which he pictures himself as Lucifer’s son and decides to write a song about it. I told him ‘I’ma be there ain’t no b*tch in my soul!’ ” Wish Bone has by far the scariest lyrics: “A demon told me that Lucifer said meet him at the black hole. There are at least 10 mentions of the devil in “Hell Sent,” which finds Bone Thugs rapping about “taking demons hostage” and starting a riot in hell. This Bone Thugs song is one of their scariest ever as they take a trip to hell. This song is creepy in more ways than one, and I wouldn’t dare listen to this hip-hop cut without the lights turned on.

“It lives inside of me, eating what’s in its way,” Cage raps. Cleveland’s Kid Cudi and Cage add just the right touch of horror with lines about a psychotic thought and feelings deep within. Like a sun setting into the darkness, “Maniac” gradually builds into a Gothic vibe. Later, Jay-Z lists all of the scariest Halloween creatures that scared us when we were kids: “Sasquatch, Godzilla, King Kong, Loch Ness, goblin, ghoul, a zombie with no conscience.” This song is definitely a must-have on any playlist, let alone your next Halloween house party. Bon Iver starts off the song with: “I shoot the lights out/Hide till it’s bright out/Whoa, just another lonely night/Are you willing to sacrifice your life?” Lyrics that sound like they are right out of an old summer camp scary story. Looking for a Halloween rap song that will pack the dance floor in no time? Cue up this scary but catchy track and watch your Halloween party go to the next level.
